Come and unwind and restore with this restorative Reformer workout. A gentle practice, moving slowly and gently creating mobility and stability. Great for beginners as an introduction to reformer pilates or perhaps you are just looking for a little TLC & me time. 

This class uses therapeutically focused exercises to gently but effectively to strengthen, align and stretch your whole body.

 

A flowing sequence of breathing and stretching exercises are created to suit individuals of all levels.It is designed for participants who are new to Pilates, returning from an injury or illness or simply want a slower-paced class. 

 

Pilates has long been praised for its effectiveness in reducing pain & supporting healthy, functional bodies. Restore your body to its optimal state through a series of controlled Pilates exercises on the Reformer designed to relieve pain, strengthen the back & core muscles, and improve mobility in the neck, back & hips.

 

Awaken the mind and body for better form. The class flows using slow, focused movements designed to improve your flexibility, balance and posture awareness. It will truly restore your mind and body.

Been thinking about giving reformer Pilates a try but not sure where to start? Then this is the workshop for you! The Reformer adds another layer to traditional mat Pilates. In addition to the ability to challenge the body with heavy or light resistance, controlling the movement of the carriage offers an added challenge.

 

As a beginner to the Reformer, one should focus on awareness, breath, and control and building the confidence in the scary prospect of this scary looking torture device. This workshop will walk you through the fundamentals. We will look at the movement of the machine, the alignment and control of your body whilst providing a full body workout incorporating strength, flexibility and mobility.

Restorative yoga could just as easily be called “mindful yoga” due to the expanded awareness of self and body that comes through this practice. With more emphasis on healing and a recuperative experience than other dynamic yoga styles. Moving at a slower tempo through the poses allows you to explore your mind and body at a steady pace whilst cultivating space for a deeper experience of each pose and the breath. This practice frequently relies on the use of props and the prolonged holding of a few simple poses to achieve a gentle stretch and sense of opening for the body whilst promoting a deep sense of relaxation for both the body and the mind.

While “yang” yoga aka Vinyasa, focuses on your muscles , yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Because you’re holding poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues.

Stoke up your inner ‘agni’ (your inner fire) this yoga inspired reformer practice to re-charge, energise & radiate energy as we head towards Spring. Often with mind and body disciplines, we enjoy several and it makes it hard to commit our time to fit them all in – well, look no further! In this class we will use yoga inspired movements on the reformer to strengthen, lengthen and soothe both our bodies and minds and have a lot of fun along the way. This class is suitable for all levels of yoga and Pilates experience.
