Dynamic Reformer

Dynamic Reformer is a blended, fitness-based workout that combines classical Pilates movements with hybrid functional exercises such as squats and rows to increase the intensity of the workout,  gaining greater definition and strength conditioning.

It still focuses upon controlled movements, focusing on correct form, control and working from a strong core, but it is not confined to a repeating sequence or repertoire which is notorious with classical or clinical Pilates.  This helps to keep the routines fresh, interesting and challenging. This training is aimed more at those looking for a fitness-based workout with the added benefits of Pilates training such as posture, core strength and spinal health.

These classes will leave you feeling stronger, progress you quickly and leave you feeling confident in an inclusive and fun environment. All levels welcome although some experience of the use of the reformer machine is advised through our fundamentals classes, or by booking a private session.

Reformer Strength 

Strength Reformer is the ultimate low impact strength building class! Expect a  fast- paced, athletic inspired class that maximises muscle engagement and calorie burn. During the class, a combination of traditional reformer Pilates is blended with low impact strength building repertoire and functional fitness movements which means you hit almost every muscle group, improving your whole-body strength and rev up your metabolism.

 

We utilise both the reformer machine to engage your core and stabilisers alongside a  combination of weights and other forms of small equipment to target your global muscles with the intention of upping  your resistance training gains. It will  leave you feeling sculpted, strong with long lean lines and improved body definition.

 

But expect to sweat! This class is the most challenging on our timetable so is suited  those with previous reformer Pilates experience and are open minded to the use of fitness-based exercise.

Pilates Reformer

Tower

The tower is an apparatus that is attached to the reformer, but offers a more stable surface when the mat conversion is attached! This enables clients to challenge strength, muscular endurance and flexibility from standing, sitting or lying down on the mat convertor but still work with the resistance of the springs to create a top to toe workout! And occasionally we put the two together! 

 

Don't be fooled, this piece of kit doesn't look like a torture device by accident! It will sculpt and strengthen your entire body with both open and closed chain, multi-planar movements.

Reformer Fundementals

Expect a class with a balance of mobility, flexibility & subtle strength work, all delivered at a more moderate pace and focusing on the fundamental elements of reformer pilates.

 

This class is designed to leave you feeling strong and well balanced with all levels welcome with adaptions and modifications given to focus upon technique. This would be a perfect opportunity to experience pilates reformer if you are just starting you reformer or pilates experience and to familiarise yourself with the machine or for those more experienced to moderate their pace with focus and precision.
